Charities & Beneficiaries

The Westchester Triathlon is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization formed to host a national event that raises money for charities.

The following non-profit organizations are those who will benefit from this year's Westchester Triathlon. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program is our main beneficiary.

Many of these groups below provide the Triathlon with much-needed volunteer support and/or have training teams that will use the Triathlon as a fund raiser for their organization. For this, the Triathlon expresses its gratitude by making a charitable donation back to the organization.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a not-for-profit voluntary health organization whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin's disease- and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The society provides funding for research, public and professional education, advocacy, patient aid and community service programs. Members of "Team in Training-TNT" are partnered with a local leukemia patient and in their honor raise money for leukemia research and patient services. In return for this commitment, we provide them with a professional training program, travel to and from the triathlon and room accommodations during their stay.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was founded on the principle that veterans are our nation's greatest citizens. The WWP seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world. Many of the injuries are traumatic amputations, gunshot wounds, burns, and blast injuries that will retire these brave warriors from military service. From the battlefield to their bedside, WWP is there to meet the needs of our wounded heroes: We provide them with unique programs and services. We raise awareness and enlist public support. We provide a means for veterans to help each other. Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization.
